Post Anesthesia Post - Exercise

I never thought these words would come out of my mouth:
"I miss running"
I don't even really like running! However, I do miss exercising. Something I haven't done in ohhhh, I don't know, over a year?
I miss cute work out clothes, how good it feels after a workout, the good kind of sore you feel the next day.
I miss yoga
I miss dance
I miss running
I miss my workout DVDs (Jillian Michaels, you never fail to kick my butt)
Until school is over I will continue my sluggish behavior of sitting while studying.
Until school is over my exercise will consist of short bursts of running after my little one (who is now already attempting to run) to prevent imminent injury. And the occasional crazy dance I do to entertain/distract him.
Not exercising

The Post-Anesthesia Post

Knitting
I once learned how to knit, but I never got very good at it and I wouldn't remember how to even start now. I see all of these ultra cute crafts, especially for babies and kids, that I would love to do, but can't for a few reasons: 1) I don't have time 2) I don't know how 3) I'd need more supplies.
When school is over I want to learn how to knit for real...and maybe crochet too.
By the time I learn how to knit, ButterBean will be to big for me to make adorable things for him to wear. He doesn't keep hats on for more than 3 seconds anyway.

Waaay too cute

Seriously? Turtley cute

Life is going to be sooo full of crafts when I'm done with school!

The Post-Anesthesia Post

I'm going to start an ongoing post of all of the things I want to do when I have time. AKA- The Post-Anesthesia Post. Everyday I think of something that I'd like to do, but don't have the time and/or money to do it right now. I don't want to forget about all of these great ideas, so I'll keep track here on the blog. It's a bit of a bucket list, I suppose.
Today's idea:
Write a children's book
I have the characters in my head already and have ideas for illustrations. I can't draw, but I like the style of Shirley.

I have a fondness for old kids books because the illustration is so different than books today. My favorite out of my collection is Captain Kitty, illustrated by Elizabeth Webbe.

The illustrations are adorable and the poem is sweet:
"Oh Captain Kitty, where have you been?
I've been sailing the ocean blue
And Tabby came as my first mate
And Pearly and Mew were the crew!"
I used to have the whole book memorized. Thanks Ma for reading me this wonderful book! Butterbean better get ready, because he's going to hear this one a lot!
One of my favorite illustrations from the book
